A thigh lift aims to improve the appearance of the inner and outer thigh. It often includes the use of liposuction, alongside surgical removal of excess skin and fat.
The procedure is carried out under general anaesthetic. If liposuction is being used, this will be carried out first. Then, Mr Horlock will surgically remove any remaining excess skin before tightening up the area.
The scar will be hidden inside the inner thigh area and absorbable sutures will be used. To finish, a padded dressing will be applied and, in some cases, a drain may need to be used to collect any excess fluids. Without a drain, a thigh lift is carried out as a day case procedure and it takes around 2-3 hours to complete.
The procedure is carried out under general anaesthetic. Incisions are made on the inside or outside of the thigh, in the buttock fold or placed in the groin. Excess skin is removed and the thigh area reshaped before the skin is sutured. The scars are well hidden when healed. Liposuction can also be performed during the same procedure to remove any excess fat and streamline the thighs.
